Comedian Robin Williams has been forced to delay the remainder of his “Weapons of Self-Destruction” tour, after it was determined he needs to have open-heart surgery.

Williams was hospitalized earlier this week in Florida when he experienced shortness of breath.
The comedian will undergo surgery for aortic valve replacement, according to his Web site.
“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes,” Williams said. “This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”
The 80-city WSD tour is expected to resume in the fall. Previously purchased tickets will be honored once the new dates are scheduled or ticketholders can contact their place of purchase for refunds.
