MJ Dethrones Prince
Last week as Michael Jackson announced to the world that he would perform 10 shows at London’s O2 Arena this summer, pundits were asking if anybody cared. It appears they do.
Concert promoter AEG Live announced today that in response to demand from fans, the gloved one will now do a total of 30 shows at the venue, eclipsing the previous record of 21 held by Prince.

The 20 new dates include one additional July show, as well as shows in August and September, and further shows are possible.
An advance allotment of half of the tickets for Jackson’s initial 10 July shows sold out within hours, despite problems experienced by Ticketmaster when its system crashed because of demand.
Tickets, priced at £50 and £75 ($70 and $105) are currently on sale to fans who registered online. The second half of the tickets for each show goes on sale to the general public March 13.
