Two dates on the Japanese pop / metal band’s Web site are listed as “male only” – March 18 in Osaka and March 25 in Kawasaki.

But it’s what’s listed about those dates on the band’s Web site that really caught our eye. Specifically, how the band will determine if ticket holders are man enough to let in the doors.

From DirEnGrey.co.jp:

“We will confirm your sex at main entrance, therefore you will need to bring a public certificate including health insurance card, pension book, passport, resident’s card. In some cases, we will conduct careful checking. If we cannot check your sex on the day, we may have to refuse your attendance.”

You gotta wonder about how the band plans to “confirm your sex at main entrance.” Will they measure every ticket holder’s adam’s apple? Or will the main entrance look more like an army physical at the “turn and cough” station?
