This isn’t just any version of the legendary thrash band. Instead, the group’s press machine is touting this tour as featuring the “classic” lineup of vocalist Chuck Billy, guitarists Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian and drummer Paul Bostaph.

The tour starts on May 2 at Seattle’s El Corazon and wraps in San Francisco on June 12 at The Fillmore. Dates include Spokane at the Knitting Factory (May 3), Vancouver, B.C., at the Commodore (May 4), Chicago at House of Blues (May 15), Baltimore at Ram’s Head (May 26), New Orleans at House Of Blues (May 31) and Los Angeles at House of Blues (June 11).

Other cities on the schedule include Calgary, Milwaukee, Detroit, Philly, San Antonio, Vegas, Denver and Atlanta.

“It was really exciting last summer touring with Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, and Motorhead, playing in front of all the old-school as well as new-school metalheads,” frontman Billy said. “Now we look forward to crushing on our first headline tour on the Damnation Vacation U.S. run. Heavy metal forever!”
