It’s there when you wake up in the morning, and it greets you when you arrive home after a long day in the salt mines. It comforts you when you’re sad, livens up the party when you’re happy and keeps filling your brain with mindless trivia and sound bites because, well, because TV always knows what’s good for you.

And there’s plenty of music to keep you hummin’ for the rest of the week. Like Blue October on Jimmy Kimmel, N.E.R.D. on Jimmy Fallon and Chris Cornell on Carson Daly.

Yes, TV is important in life. Maybe not important as keeping a roof over your head and food on the table, but important nevertheless. In fact, a recent study reported that watching television is the most important activity that anyone can do on any given day, second only to watching music on television. And we got to admit, that makes sense to us.

After all, we saw it on TV. So it has to be true. Just like the following listings.
