Nickelback Tops At Junos

Nickelback took home the biggest prizes at this year’s Juno Awards celebrating Canadian music, winning best group, best album and fans’ choice awards.

The band led all Juno nominees with five.

The awards, similar to a Canadian Grammys, were presented in Vancouver March 29, with performances from Lilith Fair founder Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, Kathleen Edwards, Nickelback, Simple Plan and more.

Artist of the year went to Sam Roberts, whose Love At The End Of The World won best rock album. New artist went to Lights, while new group went to The Stills, which also won alternative album of the year for Oceans Will Rise.

Alanis Morissette won best pop album for Flavors of Entanglement and the versatile Barenaked Ladies was awarded children’s album of the year for Snacktime!

Britain’s Coldplay won best international album with Viva La Vida.
