Here’s what Festival Republic managing director Melvin Benn had to say about the sell out:

This is the 7th year in succession that both events have sold out within 24 hours of going on sale and I am very very pleased of course.

The stature of the events have grown and grown each year and this year’s line up only adds to that. However, I must express caution towards all those who will now try to get their hands on tickets in whatever way they can as they do need to be careful of dodgy sites. The only site I can recommend will be viagogo who will at least guarantee anything they sell.

Festival Republic announced a few days ago that it had teamed up with viagogo, making viagogo the official ticket resale partner of Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Viagogo also officially partnered with Latitude Festival, which is being held July 16-19 in Southwold, Suffolk. Headliners include Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
