Joe Boyland Dies

Joe Boyland, 61, a longtime fixture on the Nashville scene, died March 17 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after suffering a heart attack.

Boyland worked with Judds manager Woody Bowles before founding Hit List Music in 1986. He worked with a host of artists including Celine Dion, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny Van Zant, Robert Plant and Laura Branigan.

He also managed Bad Company in the mid-’90s and founded Big Street Entertainment.
