Pool Shows Head To Park

The pool parties may be over but the shows will go on in Brooklyn, N.Y., after the McCarren Park Pool hosted its final concert last August.

A partnership of the Open Space Alliance of North Brooklyn and the state have arranged to host concerts in the neighborhood’s East River State Park beginning this summer, the New York Times reported.

Alliance executive Stephanie Thayer told the Times she plans to approach promoters of the past McCarren shows for future bookings at the new 6,000-capacity space.

Live Nation previously promoted several concerts at the pool.
