Case had just begun a session of his popular songwriting class at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, Calif., and was preparing to celebrate 25 years of solo performing when he was forced to undergo emergency open-heart surgery. Like many other working musicians, Case does not have medical insurance.

To help the singer cover his expenses, Alvin, Burnett, Morrissey, Ridgeway and a few surprise guests will gather for three nights May 1-3 at McCabes.

Tickets are $50 for each night, with all proceeds going toward the costs of Case’s hospitalization and recovery.

The singer’s fellow artists and fans have also established the Hidden Love Fund to further alleviate the burden of his medical bills.
