Couple Sentenced In PS&E Case

A couple who pleaded no contest to embezzling more than $1.5 million from Palace Sports & Entertainment has been sentenced to 10 to 30 years in prison.

Amy McDonald was sentenced to 45 months to 20 years and Eric McDonald 10 to 30 years.

The couple also must pay more than $1.8 million in restitution. Amy McDonald worked as an accountant for the Michigan-based facility operator and concert promoter.

Police say a Palace credit card was used to buy electronics and other items.

The McDonalds pleaded no contest in March to charges including embezzlement of $100,000 or more.
