Montana Fest Optimistic

The National Folk Festival, set to take place in Butte, Mont., July 10-12, is still in need of six figures of monetary support.

George Everett of the festival’s executive committee is confident necessary funds will be in place by the start of the festival, but it’s currently $350,000 short of the $1.2 million needed to stage it.

The lineup includes Magic Slim & The Teardrops, Sierra Hall & Highway 111, and the Ethel Caffie-Austin Singers.
