The target of Rich’s legal wrath is Jared Ashley, a contestant who competed during the fourth season of the TV show which pits aspiring country singers against each other in a contest for fame, fortune and a record deal. Rich is a former “Nashville Star” judge.

Rich claims Ashley entered his private club without permission and had to be escorted out by security personnel. Rich also claims Ashley falsely stated during a radio interview that Rich struck him in the face that night.

Ashley claims the charges stated in Rich’s lawsuit filing are not true. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
