The band begins its 2009 march towards world domination with a gig at the in Talinn, Estonia, on June 13.

Luxembourg’s Rockhal is the next stop, slotted for June 17. The 18th finds the band playing the La Locomotive in Paris. On June 19 the festival is in Clisson, France, and the 20th puts the band at Kobetasonik in Bilboa, Spain.

Other stops include Bologna, Italy (June 22); Zareb, Croatia, for (June 25); in Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock, Germany (June 28); in Duisburg, Germany (June 28); the Paard in The Hague (June 3)); Melkweg in Amsterdam (July 1) and Sonisphere in Hockenheim, Germany (July 4).

Anthrax will also play Sonisphere in Hultsfred, Sweden, on July 18; Pori, Finland, on July 25 and Knebworth, England, on August 1.

Anthrax has been finishing up its first new studio album in six years. Titled Worship Music, the album marks the debut of the band’s new singer, Dan Nelson.

The band is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of its debut release, Fistful of Metal. As a tribute to the album that unleashed Anthrax on an unsuspecting world, Megaforce Records is readying a limited edition vinyl release for May 12. Along with FoM, the package consists of three 10-inch records in a tri-fold die cut jacket and will include the group’s 1985 EP, Armed and Dangerous. The package will retail for $39.98.

“I can’t wait to get to Europe and play shows,” said Anthrax rhythm guitarist Scott Ian. “It’s been far too long and I miss our insane friends all over the continent. I’m especially excited about all the festivals we’re playing. I expect nothing less than complete and utter insanity!”
