New Music Rides Again

An influential New York music conference held annually from 1980 to 1995 is set to make a comeback at New York University’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts July 21.

In association with NYU Steindhardt’s music business program, the New Music Seminar will feature a keynote speaker and four educational sessions for artists on combining new and old methods with technology for career success as the industry faces challenging times.

Advance tickets for New Music, which was resurrected by Tommy Boy Entertainment’s Tom Silverman and WorldWide Entertainment Group’s Dave Lory, are $99 through the seminar’s Web site, newmusicseminar.biz.
