Nederlander Taps McAndrew In San Jose

Nederlander Concerts has appointed Max McAndrew director of talent for the company’s San Jose, Calif., office.

The former talent buyer and event producer at House of Blues in Las Vegas will be responsible for producing and programming events at the San Jose Civic Auditorium, where Nederlander is the exclusive promoter and producer.

McAndrew began his career a music agent at ICM in 1994 before moving to the HoB in Orlando as artist relations manager. The move reunites him with Nederlander COO Alex Hodges.

“I’ve worked with Max at House of Blues, and he is a talented promoter and buyer,” said Hodges in a statement. “He has thrived in a highly competitive market, and this will serve him well in San Jose. His experience in the agency field compliments his efforts because he understands the needs of artists, agents and manager.

“Max will hit the ground running, and I look forward to working with him again,” Hodges said.
