Yep, you guessed it, it’s time for the MTV Movie awards. “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson and “Slumdog Millionaire” lead Dev Patel will go head to head for the male breakthrough performance award alongside Ben Barnes (“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”), Bobb’e J. Thompson (“Role Models”) and “Twilight” co-vamp Taylor Lautner.

Other films up for best picture besides “Twilight” and “Slumdog” include “Iron Man,” “The Dark Knight” and “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.”

Vying for the coveted golden popcorn for best kiss are: Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, Freida Pinto and Patel, Kristen Stewart and Pattinson and – the times they are a changin’ – Sean Penn and James Franco.

New to the ceremonies this year is the best song from a movie category, with Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb,” Paramore’s “Decode,” A.R. Rahman’s “Jai Ho,” and Bruce Springsteen’s “The Wrestler” duking it out for the award.

Fans can cast votes for their faves at MTV.com through May 27 for all categories except for best movie, which will remain open until May 31 when the show will air live from L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheatre.
