CAA Signs Korean Star BoA

Korean pop star BoA has signed with top American talent agency CAA, which will represent her in North America for all music, film and merchandising matters.

CAA is already considering a major U.S. tour for BoA in the second half of the year.

The 22-year-old singer, whose full name is Boa Kwon, is already a superstar in Korea, Japan and Chinese-speaking territories, largely because of her musical versatility and ability to speak four languages.

She has sold more than 20 million records worldwide.

With the help of her Korean management company she released an English-language single in October followed by an English-language album in March.

It was the first time a Korean artist was ever listed on a Nielsen SoundScan chart.
