Depeche Mode Axes More Euro Shows

Lead singer Dave Gahan’s bout with gastroenteritis results in several more concert cancellations for Depeche Mode, eliminating May 16-21 from the schedule.

Depeche Mode postponed its Athens gig shortly before show time when Gahan was rushed to the hospital. The band’s Istanbul gig, scheduled for tonight, was the next date to fall.

Cities and shows affected in the latest round of cancellatons are Bucharest (May 16); Sofia, Bulgaria (May 18); Belgrade, Serbia (May 20) and Zagreb, Croatia (May 21)

According to the band’s Web site, ticket holders for the above shows are advised to hold on to their tickets for “rescheduled dates or final cancellation.”
