Cowboys Stadium Sponsorless

Having not secured a naming rights sponsor, the new $1.1 billion football stadium in Arlington, Texas, will be known as Cowboys Stadium.

George Strait will headline the opening event at the stadium, which is replacing Texas Stadium in Irving as home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. Also on the bill are Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough.

The team will host its first game at the stadium Aug. 21, a preseason match against the Tennessee Titans.
