WMA: Layoffs Begin

As William Morris Agency proceeds with its merger with Endeavor, redundancies are beginning to be eliminated.

In other words, there are layoffs, but with one small silver lining.

Word has it that the personal appearances department, popularly referred to as the music division, will continue unaffected.

This should be of little surprise considering Peter Grosslight and his accomplished staff have no equivalents at Endeavor, which focuses primarily on film and television talent. William Morris had no comment regarding layoffs.

The company and Endeavor officially announced merger plans April 27.
