TM China Head Resigns
Jon Krane, the man behind Emma Entertainment, resigned as president of Ticketmaster Entertainment China Holding Co. Ltd. May 13, according to the China Music Radar Web site.
Over the past six years, the company brought Western acts including Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys, Kenny G and Bjork to China. Krane sold Emma to Ticketmaster in November 2007.
A press release from Ticketmaster’s Eric Korman announced that Debbie Shon had already replaced Krane, according to China Music Radar.
All of his “duties in the company or its subsidiaries and affiliates, including Emma Entertainment (Beijing) Col., Ltd., have been transferred” to Shon, who will “partner in business with Matt Huxley,” the company’s chief operating officer.
Future events the company has planned include China tours by Ennio Morricone and the Harlem Globetrotters, as well as The One Festival.
