Winehouse Comeback Canceled

The story has a familiar ring to it but Amy Winehouse has canceled her British comeback gig, citing illness.

“Amy would like to apologise to her fans who bought tickets,” read a press statement announcing she wouldn’t be able to perform at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire May 31. It said refunds will be issued at point of purchase.

The announcement followed reports the erratic star was hospitalized in St. Lucia, complaining of chest pains.

She’s been staying on the Caribbean island while working on her third album.
