Street Scene Announces #25

The 25th annual San Diego Street Scene announced its lineup today, with The Black Eyed Peas, M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, Modest Mouse, The Dead Weather and Cake topping two days of music in one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S.A.

This year’s Street Scene takes place August 28-29. The main venue will be Tailgate Park in the heart of the city’s East Village.

Along with the aforementioned bands, Street Scene will also play host to Silversun Pickups, Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band, Band of Horses, Girl Talk, Chromeo, Mastodon, Ozomatli and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings.

Other bands and artists on the lineup include Devendra Banhart, Bassnectar, Shooter Jennings, No Age, Calexico, West Indian Girl, Ra Ra Riot, Deerhunter, Donald Glaude, Matt and Kim and Los Campesinos.

“It’s great to get back to our roots,” Street Scene founder Rob Hagey said. “Being back in downtown San Diego creates such a great vibe, there’s nothing like it around. The party-like atmosphere that being in the streets makes Street Scene a true urban experience.”
