Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein tendered his resignation as director of Live Nation June 1, which has made little news. Where he might be heading is another matter.
Weinstein was not serving as a member of any committee of the company’s board of directors at the time of his resignation and Live Nation said he was not at odds with anyone.
However, Deadline Hollywood was tipped that Weinstein, a former concert promoter was returning to his roots, joining Michael Cohl, former chairman of Live Nation, at S2BN Entertainment.
Cohl’s S2BN, with offices in New York, Miami and Toronto, was formed after the famed promoter exited Live Nation. Together with Jam Theatricals, S2BN is producing the musical “Spider-Man,” likely to debut next year.
