Clear Skies Over Hollywood Bowl
The Federal Aviation Administration is asking pilots to avoid flying over two Los Angeles outdoor theaters during the summer concert season.
The FAA says it typically adjusts flight patterns to lower aircraft noise for audiences at the Hollywood Bowl and the Ford Amphitheatre.
Both venues, which are about six miles south of the Burbank Airport, will turn on searchlights and strobe lights to alert pilots that a concert is in progress. Performances at the venues will be held nightly from Sunday to Oct. 3.
