They’re one of those bands whose music you immediately recognize even if you don’t know the group. Responsible for ‘60s hits “She’s Not There,” “Tell Her No” and “Time of the Season;” the band constantly shows up on classic rock radio stations and soundtracks. You know the songs. Now here’s your chance to know the band.

The Zombies’ lineup features founding members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent and will be joined by Jim Rodford on bass, Keith Airey on guitar and Steve Rodford on drums.

The band is celebrating the release of its Odessey & Oracle 40th Anniversary Concert CD, which commemorates the 1968 release of one of the band’s biggest albums.

In addition to Zombies tunes, Argent will dip into the days when he had a band named after himself for numbers like “Hold Your Head Up,” and maybe even the ol’ Argent classic “God Gave Rock & Roll To You” which was successfully covered by KISS in 1991.

Look for The Zombies starting their summer outing in San Diego on June 26 at Humphrey’s Concerts By The Bay. On June 27 they’ll roll into Los Angeles for a show at the Wiltern, and on June 28 they travel to Yountville, Calif., for a gig at the Lincoln Theatre.

Other dates include June 30 in Spokane at the Knitting Factory; July 10 in New York at Hammerstein Ballroom and July 13 in Ottawa at the Cisco Ottawa Blues Festival.
