Red Rocks Seeks Bone Marrow Donors

Concertgoers who take in some tunes at the Denver-area Red Rocks Amphitheatre this summer will also have a chance to register as a bone marrow donor.

At more than 60 events throughout the season, a drive coordinated by the Love Hope Strength foundation, DKMS donor center and the venue will seek to identify possible donors, who will be asked to give a cheek swab and complete a registration form.

“Through this partnership, DKMS hopes to add donors of all ethnicities to the national registry so more hope can be given to patients who are in need of a bone marrow transplant,” DKMS exec VP Katharina Harf said.

A similar drive at the venue last year during a handful of concerts resulted in 12 potential donor matches.
