Soulive Launches Its Own Festival

In celebration of its 10th anniversary and launch of their very own label – Royal Family Records – Soulive is planning a very special one-day festival with performances by their closest friends.

It’s called and it happens September 12 at the Pines Theater in Northampton, Mass. Joining Soulive will be John Scofield, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, and Nigel Hall. More artists to be announced.

Neil Evans, Alan Evans and Eric Krasno.

If you’re not familiar with the Pines Theater, the first thing we need to tell you that it’s outdoors, located in Northampton’s Look Park and is regarded as one of the more scenic venues in the country.

Still sitting on the fence as to whether you can make this particular shindig?  Here’s an added incentive – the festival will feature brews from the Magic Hat Brewing Company.

Tickets for the “Royal Family Get Down” are on sale now and available at the Royal Family Records Web site. Reserved seats are $40 and lawn $32.50. VIP packages, which include a reserved seating, a signed “Royal Family Get Down” poster, a CD copy of the performance immediately following the festival and a backstage pass to meet Soulive, are priced at $75.

“Soulive has always wanted to host our own festival and bring together some of the artists who we’ve grown with over the years,” guitarist Eric Krasno said. “With this year’s Royal Family Get Down we have a lot to celebrate and we’re lucky to have such a great line up and a venue that we love in the Pines Theater.”
