Spector Moved To State Prison

Music producer Phil Spector has been transferred from a Los Angeles County jail to a state prison reception center as he begins serving a 19-years-to-life term for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson.

California Department of Corrections spokesman Paul Verke said Friday that Spector was sent to North Kern State Prison in Delano where he will be processed and evaluated before being sent to his final destination in the prison system.

The 69-year-old Spector was convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting of Clarkson at his Alhambra mansion in 2003.
