Bret Michaels’s Break-Out Performance

Poison’s opening performance with the cast of “Rock of Ages” at the Tony Awards in New York June 7 set the stage for a raucous show when a piece of the set cracked Bret Michaels in the head, fracturing his nose.

As the band wrapped up “Nothin’ But A Good Time,” Michaels, in his trademark cowboy hat, walked into a descending piece of set while exiting the stage and was knocked to the ground.

A spokesperson for Michaels said that along with the fracture, the singer had X-rays taken and received stitches in his lip following the incident. The awards show was held at Radio City Music Hall.
