Wonder Girls Join JoBros

Korean five-member vocal group Wonder Girls recently announced they would open for 13 dates on the upcoming Jonas Brothers world tour.

The Wonder Girls will play with the Jonases in seven American cities starting June 27 and ending Aug. 22.

The Wonder Girls signed with CAA in October of last year, and in March the five young women relocated to New York to try to break into the American music biz after already being established superstars in Asia.

They have since recorded English-language versions of “Nobody” and “Tell Me,” two of their Korean hits.

An all-English album is due this fall. This week they are in China taping a music program for Chinese television.

In late May, a planned meeting between the Wonder Girls and some fans in New York was postponed indefinitely when one of the members rushed home to Korea in order to tend to “family problems.”
