For several hours June 8, Cyrus fans and their parents picked seating locations on Ticketmaster’s Web site not knowing they were using the wrong seating chart. The site was updated with the correct chart at about 1:30 p.m. EST, according to the New York Daily News.

According to people interviewed by the Daily News, prime locations turned out to be in the back of the arena floor. The sale was limited to Cyrus fan club members, who paid $30 for the privilege of the 12-hour presale. The tickets were paperless, according to the News, so fans would not be able to resell them. “Estimated hundreds” were affected, the paper said.

“Some fans who purchased the best available floor tickets to Miley Cyrus’ upcoming Nassau Coliseum concerts during Monday’s fanclub presale may have viewed a seating map that was updated later that day,” TM said in a statement. “The system did provide the best tickets to all buyers at their time of purchase. However, if any consumer is unhappy with their floor seats in sections A2, B2, and C2 because of the seating map change, they may obtain a refund.”

The Nassau shows are Nov. 18-19.
