Trio Buys Town Ballroom
The longtime lessees of a New York state nightclub, which include promoter John Peters and the former manager of the Goo Goo Dolls, can add a new title to their CVs – venue owners.
Artie Kwitchoff and Donny Kutzbach of Funtime Presents, along with MassConcerts’ Peters, have purchased the 1,000-capacity
The trio are partners in 681 Entertainment, which operates the club in the city’s theatre district. Kwitchoff and Kutzbach have booked the Town Ballroom since 2005 through Funtime Presents. Kwitchoff, a veteran of Deslener/Slater, managed the Dolls in the early ’90s.
Previous shows at Town Ballroom have included Bob Weir and Ratdog, Goo Goo Dolls, moe., The Tragically Hip, Ryan Adams, Megadeth, Social Distortion and Jonas Brothers.
