Chicago And Earth, Wind & Fire Fight Hunger
The two bands are offering a special download promotion to raise money for WHY (World Hunger Year), a charity co-founded in 1975 by singer Harry Chapin to aid local food banks.
The three song download includes Earth, Wind & Fire’s version of Chicago’s “Wishing You Were Here,” Chicago’s version of EWF’s “I Can’t Let You Go” and “You,” a new song recorded by both acts together.
Fans who bring 3 non-perishable food items or make a $3 donation at any of the duo’s summer shows will receive a download card to obtain the tracks.
Upcoming stops on the Chicago/EWF calendar include Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis (June 23), Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. (June 28), The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas (July 10), Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Ore. (July 18), The Joint in Las Vegas (July 25) and the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif. (July 31).
