Police Question Williams About Paps Robbery
The paps – Matt Sanchez of Splash News and Picture Agency and freelancer Carlos Mendez – told police four armed men broke into their rented room and made off with $20,000 worth of camera equipment.
Are you thinking the same thing we’re thinking? That the paps could have at least snapped a photo of the robbers? Maybe with a cell phone camera?
Anyway, the photogs say the robbery took place Sunday morning only a few hours after they were involved in a shouting match with Williams and his crew after the paps used a telephoto lens to shoot photos of the former Take That member.
Royal Bahamas Police Force Superintendent Ellsworth Moss said Williams is not a suspect in the robbery.
“We don’t think he was the one who actually committed the robbery,” Moss said. “But it may have been a spin-off or may have been triggered by what reportedly happened with his party on the beach.”
Police are holding two men suspected to be connected to the case, but did not release further details.
