No Response To Sziget Ad
Placing an ad in Romanian entertainment paper Sapte Serito to warn the industry that ticketing company Bilet.ro doesn’t honour its business agreements so far hasn’t had much of a result for Sziget Festival.
Bilet.ro sold euro 40,000 ($56,500) worth of tickets for the major Hungarian festival and would have earned nearly euro 3,000 ($4,240) in commission.
But George Weiner’s company has allegedly not paid Sziget.
“The final payment date acceptable to Sziget is June 4 and we intend to honour that deadline,” Weiner wrote to Pollstar May 27, but Sziget says the money still hasn’t been paid and subsequent efforts to contact Weiner have been fruitless.
Sziget has been chasing the money since late summer 2008.
