Jazz Fests Get New Sponsor
George Wein’s jazz festivals are back. The Big Apple is expected to once again have Jazz Festival New York in 2010, just with a sponsor other than JVC.
Wein said July 7 that the multi-venue festival has made an agreement with CareFusion, a spinoff from Cardinal Health.
CareFusion VP Jim Mazzola said the sponsorship includes the jazz fests in Newport, Monterey, Chicago, Paris and Australia as well, adding that this is a good way to promote the new medical technology company.
