The upcoming Moby tour is in support of the DJ / songwriter / musician’s latest album – Wait For Me. What’s more, the artist is touring with a live band for the first time since 2005.

Accompanying Moby on this tour will be artist Kelli Scarr as well as a drummer, bassist and violinist. However, despite having a band, Moby will still do the DIY thing, accompanying himself on guitar, piano and percussion, as well as singing the occasional lead vocal, according to his Web site.

The tour begins at Ram’s Head Live! in Baltimore Sept. 17. From there it’s the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Sept. 18; Theatre of The Living Arts in Philadelphia Sept. 20; NYC’s Irving Plaza Sept. 21; Boston’s House of Blues Sept. 24; Theatre Capitole in Quebec City Sept. 25 and Metropolis in Montreal Sept. 26.

Other stops include Kool Haus in Toronto Sept. 28; Vic Theatre in Chicago Sept. 30; Warehouse Live in Houston Oct. 3; House of Blues in San Diego Oct. 12; Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles Oct. 14; Showbox SoDo in Seattle Oct. 18 and Calgary at the MacEwan Centre Oct. 22.

The last date on the schedule is Edmonton, Alberta, at the Event Centre Oct. 23.
