Raveonettes Dates Are In Control

After a brief round of U.S. dates in January, The Raveonettes are headed back for the states for a 20-date North American fall tour in support of the Danish duo’s new album, “In & Out of Control.”

Before kicking off the fall tour, the band is set to make two festival appearances, playing Lollapalooza in Chicago, Aug. 8 followed by Austin City Limits Music Festival in Texas, Oct. 3. Last week The Raveonettes’ Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo played Siren Music Festival at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Coney Island.

The tour begins Oct. 14 at Webster Hall in New York and wraps up Nov. 15 at Beauty Bar in Las Vegas.

Additional dates include shows at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C. (Oct. 16), Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto (Oct. 22), Magic Stick in Detroit (Oct. 23), Southgate House in Newport, Ky. (Oct. 24) and Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco (Nov. 9).

The Black Angels will open for The Raveonettes at the Oct. 14-26 shows.

In & Out of Control, the band’s fourth album and follow up to 2007’s Lust Lust Lust, is set for release Oct. 6 on Vice Records.

Fans got a sneak peak at the album through demos of three tunes the band posted links to on its Twitter account page back in June. You can download demos for “Last Dance,” “Boys Who Rape” “In & Out Of Control” by registering at The Raveonettes’ page on the Vice Records Web site.

Although “In & Out Of Control” was used as the album title, it ended up as a B-side rather than being included on the album.
