Live Nation Sweetens The Half-Price Pot
Last week the concert promotion company unveiled a 24-hour only deal that slashed ticket prices in half when customers purchased pairs of tickets for selected events at Live Nation amphitheatres.
However, unlike last week, this week’s deal will include lawn and select reserved seats at Live Nation amphitheatres.
The deal is for Wednesday only. Specifically, that means 12:01 a.m. July 29 to midnight that night, local time.
Of course, like every deal, there’s some fine print. On the Live Nation press release, the following paragraph, printed in a smaller font, explains it all for you.
“Promotion will execute via a 50% discount off the total price and fees of tickets in multiples of two. Not available in combination with other offers. Participating shows at Live Nation amphitheaters only. Subject to availability. General admission or reserved seats where applicable.”
Now you know why Live Nation is now calling the weekly deal “Wednesday Ticket Specials.” Although the 50 percent reduction in price on a pair of tickets results in reduced fees, it hardly qualifies for the title “No Service Fees Wednesday,” which is what the promoter originally called the weekly summer special. But it’s still a deal, and if it applies to the show you want to see, it’s a pretty good deal at that.
Live Nation launched the half-price promotion last Wednesday, saying it was the most-asked for bargain requested by concert fans.
“Last week’s half-priced ticket promotion was the clear fan favorite,” said Live Nation President and CEO Michael Rapino. “Based on ticket sales, we decided to extend and expand this fan driven promotion for a second week.”
