Sweet Dreams Of College

Rock ‘n’ Roll jack-of-all-trades Dave Stewart is lending his support to Fulfillment Fund, an organization which provides assistance to disadvantaged high school kids seeking a higher education.

Stewart and his Rock Fabulous Orchestra will perform at Dream 2009, a benefit concert August 25 at The Conga Room at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The evening – which is guaranteed to be filled with Stewart hits from his Eurythmics days, as well as songs he’s written for artists like Tom Petty, No Doubt and Celine Dion – will be hosted by Rosanna Arquette.

Tickets for the 21 and over event are priced at $50 for general admission, $125 for open seating and $200 for VIP club seating (including a post concert reception with Stewart) and are available at Fulfillment.org/dream.

The Fulfillment fund is an organization that provides college scholarships to graduates of its high school programs.

Over the past 20 years the group has given out more than 300 scholarships to students, with 49 awarded this year alone to students attending schools like Stanford, Yale and Howard, as well as every University of California, California State University and Los Angeles Community College District campus in the state.

Fans who are unable to attend Stewart’s benefit show, but still want to help out with Fulfillment’s mission can make contributions through the group’s Web site.
