Iroquois Shed Weathers Flood
A storm that reportedly dropped six-and-a-half inches of rain on Louisville, Ken., Aug. 4 didn’t cause as much damage as thought to the 2,406-capacity
The shed sustained water damage but will remain open for two events on the books – an Aug. 8 free movie night and an Aug. 15 Simon and Garfunkle tribute concert featuring AJ Swearingen and Jonathan Beedle, according to the Courier-Journal.
Louisville Metro Parks spokesman Jason Cissell told the paper damage was reportedly confined to the stage, backstage and orchestra pit and some audio equipment.
Cissell also said crews are assessing the wood on the stage for possible replacement but electrical systems, concession and seating areas are in good shape.
