Perez Hilton’s New Career: Tour Promoter

Hilton’s celeb gossip Web site announced the big news Sunday.

“This truly is a dream come true! Thanks to the kind support and sponsorship of Neuro[energy drink], we are putting together our first-ever tour!!!!,” PerezHilton.com proclaimed. “It’s no secret that music is Perez’s passion and this new endeavor is one of the most exciting things we have ever done.”

The “Perez Hilton Presents …” tour is set to make stops throughout North America this September and October.

Hilton promised he’s “handpicked the hottest acts on the planet” and so far has revealed three acts on the tour – Norwegian punk rock singer Ida Maria, New Zealand’s indie rock singer-songwriter Ladyhawke and the U.K.’s electropop musician FrankMusik. [Insert joke here about how Hilton won’t be booking the Black Eyed Peas after his cat-fight with the band’s tour manager.]

Tour dates – along with the rest of the lineup – are expected to be announced soon because tickets go on sale to the general public this weekend. Hilton is offering his readers first pick of the tickets with an exclusive pre-sale this Thursday.

Hilton advised readers to buy tickets early as “we hope all the shows will sell out. … With a stellar lineup, like the one we’ve assembled, we think ‘Perez Hilton Presents …’ will be a big hit!”
