Paramore Fall Headlining Tour

Paramore fans should block out Sept. 29 on their calendars and circle it twice. Not only is it the release date for the pop punk band’s third studio album, “brand new eyes,” but it also marks the start of Paramore’s North American fall headlining tour.

The tour, which is set to hit smaller clubs, theaters and ballrooms, kicks off Sept. 29 at The Fox Theatre in Pomona, Calif., and concludes Nov.1 in the band’s hometown of Nashville with a show at the Ryman Auditorium.

Additional dates include Fillmore Auditorium in Denver (Oct. 4), House of Blues in Chicago (Oct. 10), Kool Haus in Toronto (Oct. 15), Hammerstein Ballroom in New York (Oct. 21) and House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (Oct. 26).

The shows will be opened by Paramore’s Fueled By Ramen labelmates The Swellers, as well as Paper Route.

Presale tickets through the band’s Web site will be available Aug. 17th. Tickets go on sale to the general public Aug. 21 and 22.

After wrapping up the fall round of dates, Paramore has plans for a U.K. and European headlining tour. More info is expected to be announced soon.

Pre-orders are currently ongoing for brand new eyes, the 11-track follow-up to the band’s 2007’s RIAA platinum certified second album, Riot! The new album was co-produced by the group as well as Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo, who’s worked with artists such as Green Day, Kid Rock and My Chemical Romance.

“We really tried to venture out and experiment with our sound to see how far we could push ourselves this time around,” guitarist Josh Farro explained.

“I hope that every record is a progression for us, but this one is definitely a huge leap from Riot!,” adds frontwoman Hayley Williams. “I just can’t wait to get back on the road and start playing these new songs live.”

Beginning tomorrow, you can check out what went on behind the scenes during the production of “Ignorance,” the first single from brand new eyes, on the premier of “Making The Video” on paramore.net.

Paramore, which just picked up Teen Choice Awards for “Choice Rock Group” and “Choice Music: Rock Track” for “Decode,” recently filmed an acoustic performance at a New York City studio which is set to air on “MTV Unplugged” in mid-September.
