What’s Today’s Secret Word?
Comedian Paul Reubens has added 16 more (aaaahhh!) performances to his upcoming run of “The Pee-Wee Herman Show” at The Music Box at Henry Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, Calif.
The upcoming series of shows broke the all-time record at the Fonda, selling more (aaaahhh!) tickets in its first 24 hours than any show to ever play the venue.
The addition of 16 extra dates means the show will now run from Nov. 8 to Dec. 20.
Ticket for all shows are now on sale.
The newly re-imagined version of 1981’s “The Pee-Wee Herman Show” is still about a wish and will star all the characters revered by fans including Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Chairry, Pterri, Conky, Magic Screen, Randy and more (aaaahhh! Sorry, last one).
Many of the original people involved with the show, both on stage and off, are involved in the new production.
Fans can get the latest scoop on all things Pee-Wee by following him on Twitter @peeweeherman. (Although when I tried to check in on Pee-Wee earlier today, the account had been “suspended for strange activity.” Hmmm.)
Speaking of strange activity, here’s a clip of Pee-Wee and Miss Yvonne playing house from “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.”
