How much the Lafayette Cajundome will receive in subsidies next year remains unclear, with a tight budget likely forcing a decrease.

The arena has received an annual subsidy of $500,000 in recent years to help with operating expenses, but council members are suggesting $400,000 or less.

Venue director Greg Davis said he would make sure it operates within its means but added that business costs have risen. The proposal will be voted on in September.
