Jackson To Be Buried On His Birthday?
At least that’s what Jackson’s father – Joe Jackson – says. According to the New York Daily News, Jackson talked about burial plans during a poolside lunch of ribs and jalapeño corn bread at the Palms hotel in Las Vegas, saying his son would be buried at Forest Lawn during a ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. that day.
Of course, Joe says a lot of things. Like in 2003 when he told the BCC he didn’t beat Michael or his brothers, saying, “I whipped him [Michael] with a switch and a belt. I never beat him. You beat someone with a stick.”
So we wouldn’t blame you if you’re not willing to accept the word according to Joe as, well, gospel.
But People magazine says it received confirmation that the Daily News item was legit, although the magazine doesn’t say which part was confirmed – that Joe talked to the Daily News, or that MJ will be buried on his birthday. Or if Joe really had ribs and jalapeño corn bread for lunch.
Jackson also told the Daily News he supports the Los Angeles Police Department’s investigation into his son’s death, but also said he fears police will make Michael Jackson’s personal physician – Dr. Conrad Murray – “the fall guy for a whole lot of people.”
Murray is currently under investigation for allegedly supplying Michael Jackson with the anesthetic Propofol as well as subscription painkillers.
Jackson telling the press his son will be buried at Forest Lawn on August 29 does raise another question – where is Michael’s body right now?
Never fear, for the New York Post has the answer. According to an article published last week, Jackson’s body is currently on ice at Forest Lawn.
