R. Kelly Announces Dates, Cities – Holds Back On Venues
But then, maybe Kelly just isn’t into providing complete information for fans anxiously waiting to spend money on him. His tenth studio album, scheduled for release Oct. 13, is simply titled Untitled, while his tour has a more colorful name – “Ladies Make Some Noise!”
Although Jive isn’t giving up the venues, that doesn’t mean the buildings Kelly is playing on this tour are complete unknowns. The first date – Oct. 8 in Mashantucket, Conn., is booked for the MGM Grand at Foxwoods – a venue generous enough to shoot us an e-mail announcing the date.
According to Ticketmaster, Kelly is also scheduled to play Albany, N.Y., at the Palace Theatre Oct. 10 and New York City at the WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden Oct. 16.
Meanwhile, Jive serves up a whole mess of dates, cities and TBAs. Included is Boston Oct. 9; Albany Oct. 10; Philadelphia Oct. 13; Pittsburgh Oct. 18 and Cincinnati Oct. 20.
Other cities on the list include Atlanta, Chattanooga, Charleston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Detroit, Milwaukee, Washington, Richmond, Tampa and Miami with the last date showing St. Louis on Dec. 8.
According to Jive, tickets go on sale starting Aug. 22. Maybe the label will have announced the venues by then.
