The North American dates kick off Oct. 30 with a show at Cow Palace in San Francisco and wrap up Nov. 7 at Santos Party House in New York.

The guys are also playing HARD Haunted Mansion party at an undisclosed (as of now) location in Los Angeles (Oct. 31), Century Room in Toronto (Nov. 3) and Congress Theatre in Chicago (Nov. 6).

Catching a U.S. Basement Jaxx show is a rare opportunity. The last time the duo performed in the U.S., the tour was also quite limited, consisting of two shows in Los Angeles and two shows in New York.

The 2009 North American dates are sandwiched between a number of U.K. shows and festival appearances. Sunday Basement Jaxx play Creamfields festival in Cheshire, U.K., followed by a performance Sept. 5 at Jersey Live Festival at Royal Jersey Showgrounds in Channel Island, U.K., and a Sept. 6 spot at Electric Picnic at Stradbally Hall Estate in Stradbally, Ireland.

After Basement Jaxx return from the U.S., the duo has several December gigs lined up, from a Dec. 12 show at Barrowland in Glasgow through a Dec. 17 show at The O2 in London.

Scars, the duo’s fifth studio album, is set for release Oct. 6. The album features performances by artists such as Kelis, Maleka, Chipmunk, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Santigold, Sam Sparro, Lightspeed Champion, Amp Fiddler, Yo Majesty, Yoko Ono, Paloma Faith, Lisa Kekaula, Jose Hendrix and Jose James
